A Colorful Spot in a Bleak Week- Nintendo Direct Game Announcements

While most of the world has been focused on the tragedy of the past few days, there was a bright spot for those who enjoy video games. Nintendo, a major game distributor, had a game announcement livestream, referred to as a "Nintendo Direct," in which many highly anticipated games and some surprise games were announced. The direct had a mixture of games from both major game publishers and indie game developers, and also revealed expansions to already released games. Some of the more notable game announcements were the release dates of Pikmin 4, a game that has been in development since 2015, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and also the announcement of a new entry in the Professor Layton series. There were also many game remasters announced, such as Metroid Prime, Advance Wars 1+2, Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, and many more. There were of course new titles revealed and released from both indie developers and large studios. Of personal interest to me was the title "Harmony: The Fall of Reverie" because of the cool art style and also the game's music was created by one of my favorite video game composers. It does help that the game refers to going between worlds.
